PS: I'm still not a fan of chainsaws. Hopefully one day I grow out of that fear.

This time of the year is the greatest. In fact, the other day I was just telling Travis how excited I was for all of the Corn Maze's, Pumpkin Carving, and Haunted Houses when I realized there was one slight problem.

October is already half over!

*AND* I will be in Idaho next weekend, *and* Halloween is the weekend after that!!

Where September and October have gone..I'm not quite sure.

I decided we better jump on these fall/halloween festivities before we miss the boat!

So, Friday we (Trav, Me, AK, Devan, Kelly, and Nirvana) ventured to the first (and hopefully not last) Corn Maze of the year!

The Crazy Corn Maze in Sandy was so much fun last year that we decided to go there this time, too!

As always, we had fun navigating through the Corn Maze. We took AK's Corn Maze virginity. That was awesome! Everyone was one hundred percent sure (thought they knew) of the way we were going to find our way out of the maze, so it was interesting having 6 leaders. Thanks to "G" (GPS) (Love you Grandma :)), Devan's killer navigational skills, and my patience explaining to everyone that "Yes, we are headed back to the beginning. Yes, we are on the right track. Again, the entrance is 5 feet away from the exit." we found our way out!
We even scored a few shortcut paths.
So, that was nice.
Except for it felt like you were walking on two parts of where the earth has split itself. Very awkward walking.
But they worked, and we're officially pros.
Oh yeah...and thanks to an app (of course). The flashlight outshined (?) Trav's treasured flashlight, so that was sweet!

And then it (unfortunately...but fortunately) was time for the Haunted Portion! Advertised this year as "3x bigger, and better!"

I'm not quite sure if I agree with the better part, but the bigger part was definitely true. They included a short walk through another corn maze, which was kind of nice. I wish there would have been more *"Boogey Woogey Woogey" men though. The chainsaw was stinky toward the end, which sent my heart to the floor and gave me enough butterflies to basically lift me off of the ground. I was really fortunate this year, actually. Instinct told me to trade Travis spots just at the right time, and it just so happened as we switched sides, chainsaw dude was on his side! Score!! ..I still had to remind myself to breathe after we'd passed him though. I really, really, really don't like chainsaws or the men/women who run them. I think that's a horrible addition to the Haunted House, but then again, the adrenaline rush is sort of fun.
I'm a big baby when it comes to Haunted Houses, but they are still a must!! Speaking of being a big baby, I almost peed my pants! We were walking through the non-scary maze part, when I decided to look to my left into the corn thinking about how much cooler it would be if people jumped out from the corn, but no such luck yet. Anyways, so I look to the left and notice something. Something that doesn't look like corn, or a stalk, but doesn't really look scary. Just sort of curiosity provoking. So, I say "Hey guys, what do you think this.." at which point a very mean, scary man jumped out from the corn, and scared the bejebus out of me. I hope he did not pee his pants from laughing too hard. Wait...actually, I hope he did pee his pants. That's what he gets!

*Nirvana came with us and she calls the monsters the Bogey Wogey Wogey man. It's adorable. Another thing that's adorable is how she is 3 and we both screamed about the same amount throughout the Haunted House (which was a lot). Okay. That's not really adorable. I'm a baby.

Before the Corn Maze adventure, Devan, Kelly, and Nirvana came over to our house for some dinner. It had been a few months since I've seen Nirvana and one of the first questions she asked me was "Where's your sister?" we had a short conversation about my sister, which ended in me telling her that she didn't have any toys for her to play with, and yes she can watch Scooby Doo in her room. I thought it was fascinating though, that she knew, and remembered my sister after only meeting her once or twice.

And then my Aunt came over and this was their conversation:
AK: Hi, I'm Kristine! What's your name?
Nirvana: Nirvana, but where's your sister?
AK: My sister? Well, she's at home. Do you have a sister?
Nirvana: Um..well..no, but I got friends.

What a cutie!! Although, I still don't get the sister thing.

After the Maze/Haunted Maze we enjoyed (finished off the) fresh hot donuts, and (took the last) carmel apple. The people in line behind us totally loved us.

I only *maybe* cried a little when I shipped my iPhone to some man (who in turn, thinks I'm a man..weird.) in Florida.

I'm totally a rookie when it comes to eBay, but I plan on changing that as my first sell was a complete success. (See: Bought my 3GS for 200 bucks and sold it for 426 bucks.)

I hope I don't let it all out when they handover my i4. That would be embarrassing. Today at work is going to be the longest...how will I ever get to 5 oclock with this phone constantly on my mind?! I cannot *wait* to go pick up my new love!!

Oh, and speaking of love...my Trav came home from Minnesota last night!! It was so many parts of wonderful! He was gone for 4 days, and it was horrible. I missed him dearly. Plus, I had to kill one spider by myself. I also stuck my hand into a spider web without even knowing, freaked out...and then had to remember to breathe when I saw the guy sitting in the web. Holy Moly.

Oh, and guess what Trav brought for us???

Boys and Girls, get ready!!

Okay, so yesterday was wonderful. Work flew by. I had to run to Best Buy after work, but we'll skip the story because that was the only not wonderful thing about yesterday. Met Trav and Kassi at Grandpa's, and Auntie Kristine was cooking tacos. De-lish. Megan was there, working on some homework from school. (somehow I find joy when the kids have to go back to school. It's pure jealousy. Summer vacations are overrated.) We ate with the doors and windows open, and the breeze felt wonderful. After we cleaned up, Auntie Kristine, Megan, and I took a trip to Hobby Lobby (weakness). Megan had a notebook for Biology that she needed to decorate for a grade, so we had fun picking out stuff to decorate. On the way home, we stopped for some Have It Your Way frozen yogurt. Auntie Kristine spotted a baseball on the side-ish of the road and said it would be a good idea to throw it back into the field. Jessica was nomitated, and humiliated. Apparently the "field" was a littler further than I'd anticipated. Got home and made the cutest Biology notebooke possible. Dropped Megan off, and went home to bed.

Just a simple day with the fam, but sometimes those are the absolute best.

Speaking of yesterday, and it's perfectness...the weather reminded me of someone, and his name is Fall, and I miss him dearly.

Is anyone else as excited as I am about this up and coming (almost here!!!) season?

If yesterday wasn't a very solid reminder that it's just around the corner, I'm not sure what else could have been.

In fact, it was yesterday that reminded me *all day long* that it was time to go and get the Fall stuff out of the storage and let the fun begin!

(I know it's still a *tad* early, but I'm totally the proud owner of the house that you walk into from the hot, hot summer sun...and feel like you're in the dead middle of fall. Don't judge.)

How can I wait though??? I feel like a little kid at Christmas time. I can't pass up the home-y feeling that fall brings. The leaves. The smells. The crisp air. Football. Sweaters. Wubbies. --Even better...Grandma-made Minnesota VIKINGS Wubbies! The Holiday season. The opportunity to take tons and tons of pictures and they all turn out wonderful because everything is so beautiful. Raking leaves. Rolling in the leaves. And the colors.

Nope. I will never be able to contain excitement for this fine time of the year.

The commercial that teases dogs.

I really, really, really, really wish I had a button to push that would automatically bring my camera to a certain moment, ready to catch it through either video or picture! That would be most definitely convenient!

Unfortunately this will have to be a post without a "caught" moment because I do not have said button.

Last night Trav and I were watching the Monday Night Football game when a Toyota--fuel efficient commercial came on. To show how "fuel effecient" Toyota's were, a couple was using their car to drive around looking for their dog. To do this, they were using those dog toys where you squeeze them and they make that kind of high pitched noise that is pretty annoying for anything other than this moment. (And maybe the 15 times that we rewound the commercial once I had my camera)

As soon as the commercial came on and the couple busted out their dog toys, Trey darted to the TV. He sat down RIGHT in front of it, directly in front of the speaker and had the most confused look on his face. Every time the couple would squeeze the toy, Trey would tilt his head. To make things even better (for us) and to confuse him even more, since they were looking for their dog they would say "Come on boy" "Come here" and whistle every time they would squeeze the toy. Trey was uber confused. I know he was thinking "Wait. I'm right here!! I can't get any closer!!" thus causing all of the confusion on his side. They would squeeze again and he would tilt his head ALL the way over to the other side. There were at least 6 tilts in the 30 second duration of the commercial. haha it's probably my favorite thing he has ever done. I WISH I had a video for you all! I promise we tried!! We watched that commercial around 15 times to try and re-create the tilting but I think Trey caught on once he saw me bust out the camera. He hates that dang thing!!

Our Labor Day Weekend, so far.

We went to Cheesecake Factory to celebrate Alexis's birthday. None of us had ever been there, but it was delicious!! :)

Saturday Kyle had his first football game so a bunch of us went out to watch that. Here are a few pics from that. I'm so excited for football this year!! Can't wait!

They asked Mariah to help with holding up the banner so they guys could run through it when they came back from halftime.

I know it's probably a good month early but I always decorate the first week of September. I can't help it! I just get so excited!! Look how cute they turned out this year!

SEPTEMBER!

You've finally come!!! I have been waiting for you all summer. September, you are great for so many reasons!
* Stores will now start to carry pumpkin spice candles. Oh, how I love pumpkin spice candles.
* Fall is coming!! Leaves will turn into very pretty colors and soon fall down (Which is exciting because then October and Halloween are coming!!)
* Instead of trying to convince Trav that we need to have the AC on full blast, I get to cuddle with him and a comfy sweater or blanket instead and be perfect!
* September, you make Chai taste so much better.
* I get to decorate just for you. My house is going to be so dang cute.
* It's almost time to carve pumpkins, and watch a scary movie each night, and enjoy the many great Haunted Houses in the area.
* Football. September, this is one of the greatest things about you. When you come, that means it's time for football Sunday and Monday's. Oh, how I long for those.
* This year, I have been counting down for you September. Not just for all of these reasons, but because today I get to go see Modest Mouse play In the Venue. What a great, great, great way to start off September.
* Summer is leaving. Besides camping and fishing, I won't miss her. I vote for a two season year, every year. Spring and Fall.

I have been pretty busy these past couple of weeks but I wanted to write just a few things. Halloween was great. We all hung out at Grandma and Grandpa Wooten's house. Grandpa made a big, yummy pot of chili! We played games and passed out candy all night! Probably my favorite story from Halloween (and it is a hard one to beat...but we will see what happens next year) is this:

Two little twin boys walk up to the door. (Our first trick or treators so I jump up all excited to give them some candy!) I open the door and they just stare at me and say nothing so I say to them "What do you say?" These two little boys didn't say anything to each other, or even look at each other as a matter of fact, but at the same time said "You're Welcome?!?" We all started laughing and their mother, standing in the driveway behind them starts to laugh so I say "Trick or....?" and they both say "TRICK OR TREAT!" Haha, it. was. adorable.

Grandma, Auntie Tammy, Auntie Kristine, and I went to Wendover Sunday/Monday. We all drove out there with the intentions of coming back Sunday afternoon by 5 so we could have a birthday party for Grandma, Kassi, and Uncle David. (Yes, I know. We are procrastinators when it comes to birthdays in the Wooten family. You might be thinking...is it normal to have 3 people's birthday's at one time? Well, yes. The answer is yes.) Anyway, so we are in Wendover having a great time. It comes time to leave and well, me and Auntie Kristine arent ready yet! Honestly, when can you be READY to leave Wendover unless you are completely out of your spending money? So, I call the bus and find out that there is one that takes you back to Salt Lake and it leaves at 10pm. PERFECT! Grandma and Auntie Tammy go home, and Jessica and Auntie Kristine stay! The first hour sucked because for some reason the ATM wasn't reading my debit card and Grandma left with my purse, which had my money! Finally, I was able to get some cash and then I played off of $20 for the other 2-3 hours. I had a blast and am ready to go back!

Another piece of important news: AUNTIE KRISTINE EXTENDED HER TRIP!! She will now be here until the 12th of November! YAY :)

We started a tradition...

If you've read this blog, you might know that we (well mostly I...Travis does enjoy it though) are obsessed with carving pumkins. We always have so much fun! Well, my aunt is down from Alabama for a few weeks and I thought it would be fun to get together as a family at grandma and grandpa's house and carve pumpkins! We laid a huge sheet down in the living room with a vynl table cloth and newspaper on top of it and carved away! It was so much fun. We decided that from here on out, every Halloween, this is what we are going to do.

Here are some pictures that we took. I took one of everyone's pumpkin, then a few of the group. Some of us used stencils, some of us stayed original and did freehand, and some of us. Well, Mariah, decorated Grandma's for her :) It turned out adorable. What a fun night!

It's finally time!!

My absolute favorite season is fall and I am so excited that it is finally here! I love this time of the year. I love the yummy smelling candles that only come out around this time. I love the changing color of everything outside, and my blog colors now. I got a little too festive ;). I also love that it is almost time to start skiing! I am so excited to go this year, I didn't get a chance to go at all last year! :( and I also love how everyone just seems so much nicer during the holiday's. Such a fun time!!

Speaking of getting a little too festive, I decorated my house for fall during like the first week of September, lol. It didn't feel right sometimes walking in from it being so HOT outside to our house that was all fally decorated, but it is getting better and I was just SO anxious!! I made the mistake of going to Roberts one weekend and seen TONS of little fall decorations that I needed to have! So yeah, I'm all ready for it! I just need to get some Halloween decorations pretty soon! They have some really, really cute ones at Michaels, Roberts, and even Ross!

What do you remember about Graduation: The sleepover party we had. Getting my XBox at my graduation party. Crying. Lots of crying. All of my family there. It being really, really small...and in our gym. Finally realizing that we are all going our seperate ways and that it will be very likely that I wont see very many of these people again. Also thinking that I would never have to wake up early again. Lol...how life changes :)

Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Yes!! I'm pretty sure we are having a 5 year one as well and I am planning on going to that too!
