The reason I do the cooking at home:

Travis calls me into the kitchen the other night and asks if I will do the crust for the no-bake cheesecake he is making because I'm "really good at it"

When I get into the kitchen, he says "It might have a little too much butter in it, but it should still be okay.."

"Why would it have too much butter in it?" I ask, especially confused because Trav is the King of measuring everything out exactly as the box/recipe calls for. (He even measures water for macaroni :) )

"Well, because you always give me crap about measuring stuff out exactly...so I was just trying to eyeball it, you do it all the time."

Then I explained "The deal" to him:

"Here's the deal babe, there are SOME things you can eyeball when cooking...but some things need to be measured exactly. For example, water for boiling noodles...eyeballed. Butter for making a crust...definitely measured."

It was a good effort though, and he was right, the cheesecake still turned out okay. Shape doesn't matter anyway, right? As long as the blob of cheesecake on the plate tastes delish, we're in business!

Amen, sista!! Since I finally have a stove, I'm attempting to cook more. So far, spaghetti is the only thing I've mastered, and spaghetti isn't even hard... lol. Nice job on the cheesecake though!! :) Sounds yummy...despite what it may have looked like...

Hahaha I had Chris read this, because this totally sounds like something he and I would do. He measures out water for boiling macaroni too.
